At certain times of the year we may be able to offer accommodation for our wood carving students in the Farmhouse, also for those looking for a peaceful and relaxing break whether or not they are having woodcarving tuition.

Alternatively, there are other local bed and breakfast establishments or hotel accommodation in Holsworthy town itself, and Holsworthy Visitor Information Centre (tel 01409 254185) can advise on all types of accommodation in the area, including caravan and campsites.

The area around Holsworthy offers plenty of interesting activities such as coarse, trout and fly fishing, archery, bird watching, coastal walking and rambling, outdoor activities with pursuits including surfing, rock climbing and horse riding, and for cyclists, the Tarka cycle trail is easily accessible for safe off-road family cycling. Instruction in watersports can be obtained on both Tamar and Roadford Lakes.

The Farmhouse.

Bed and Breakfast   For our woodcarving students we suggest staying with our neighbour Mrs Woods, Forda Farm, Woodacott, (tel 01409 261369, e-mail: val@fordafarm.com   and website: www.fordafarm.com ) which is about a mile away. For evening meals there are several eating places to be found in Holsworthy and Bude, ranging from top quality restaurants and pubs to takeaways and cafes.

More local accommodation and nearby camp sites are shown on our Latest News page.

Our Accommodation in the Farmhouse, available at certain times of the year, has off road parking for your vehicle, use of the garden and well behaved pets welcome. There is lovely coastal walking and rambling, Dartmoor, Exmoor and Bodmin Moors being within easy reach; most of the local Cornish beaches are dog-friendly or have areas designated for dogs.

A Carving Holiday in Sunny Devon

Would you like a holiday in unspoilt Devon?

We can usually offer accommodation for one or two persons in our Farmhouse and you can arrange your wood carving tuition to take place for as many days as you like during your stay, as well as spend time enjoying all that can be found in beautiful Devon and Cornwall.

Please 'phone or e-mail Zoe to make arrangements.

Part of our Farmhouse.

Our accommodation is ideal for woodcarving students as you are 'on site' for your  carving, and for a non carving partner or during leisure time after classes there is plenty to see and do in the area. We are happy to have well behaved pets accompany you during your stay.
